Kaiden AI
Overview
Kaiden AI provides personalized and realistic training scenarios tailored to specific industries and needs. Users can select from a diverse library of pre-built scenarios or create custom ones. Comprehensive insight is also provided through detailed feedback on user performance.
Functions
- Kaiden AI is integrated into Canvas and primarily used as a feedback tool for students practicing scenarios. Therefore, it works on a pass/fail system and does not include grade pass back.
Instructional Considerations
- Use case: Kaiden AI can be used as a virtual patient to create interviews by using voice recognition to communicate and allowing the instructor to modify the patient’s basic characteristics. Students will receive feedback after the interaction that tells them what they missed in terms of information gathering and interview skills.
- Class Sizes: Best used with small to medium-sized courses
- Modalities: Both in-person and online courses
- Limitations or barriers: Instructors can’t assign a scenario directly to a student. They must use the tool’s interface to create their scenarios, assign the scenarios to tasks, and then assign those tasks to students.
- Complexity or learning curve: Moderate
- Accessibility: Kaiden AI claims to meet industry standards regarding LTI accessibility and WCAG 2.1 international standards.
Accessing Tool
- Kaiden AI is approved for use but not funded by UFIT. If you are interested in using the tool, please contact the vendor to discuss scenario options and pricing. When the tool is turned on in Canvas, it can be found in course navigation and customer support is available to the admins in charge of the account.
