Top Hat

Overview

With Top Hat, instructors can chunk their lessons and check their students understanding in real-time quizzing and polling. Instructors can utilize assignments, quizzes, polling, and other activities to increase student engagement within classes. This tool is specifically used in face-to-face classes. Several features, including Assignments and Quizzes are only available with a paid Pro account. 

Installation Instructions

Top Hat is available in all Canvas courses. To enable, go to Settings, click on the Navigation tab, find Top Hat, click the 3 dots next to it and Enable it. Then scroll down and click Save. Then, click Top Hat in the main menu and follow the instructions in this getting started guide.
