Conferences in Canvas, also known as Big Blue Button, will be sunsetting on October 1st and replaced with Zoom Conferences.
As of August 9th, 2019, you will no longer be able to create a new conference using the Conference tab. Any online conference will need to be held using Zoom. You can reference the Zoom in e-Learning page for guides on its use.
If you need to save previous recordings made in the conference tab, it will remain available until the end of September. After that, the Conference tab will no longer be accessible in Canvas.
You are able to download any recordings from Conferences you wish to keep and upload to myMediasite. If you haven’t used myMediasite before, you can request an account and access tutorials at Video & Collaboration Services myMediasite page
